California Dreamin'

California Dreamin'

This past week I spent 5 days visiting with my cyber turned real life friend Brandi (brandinikkale.com) in San Diego & y’all I didn’t want to come back!

Last year, at the start of quarantine, I was connected to a beautiful group of women & we formed a solid cyber friendship. So this was our first official girls trip! This was the first time most of us had met one another in person after communicating basically for about a year & a half over various social media platforms. It was such a gift to physically hug those that I hadn’t already met & just enjoy their company in real time.

Each of us have brought such unique things into this group & it was truly a blessing to be able to celebrate our new found bond.

This was my first, but absolutely not my last time in California. I loved the atmosphere, I loved the people we encountered, & the beaches were beautiful. I’m from South Florida, but I am absolutely NOT a beach person, but the ones we visited I would visit daily if I could!

The weather was perfect most days…. My anemia wouldn’t let me be great some nights so I froze lol but the vibes are definitely there.

I have tried to make it my mission in my travels to do at least 1 thing I’ve never done before & this trip was no different. Although it wasn’t as adrenaline pumping as my last adventures in previous years it was an experience to say the least lol!

We went to Black’s Beach. I’ve never had the urge to go to a nude beach, but I am actually glad I did. To be so free, sitting on my beach towel & eating McDonald’s… just throwing caution to the wind was something that I am not mad at. I let it all hang out… literally & would do it again if ever I get the chance. The journey down to & back from the beach though wasn’t favorable AT ALL. I just knew I was outta here, but I made it (by the grace of God) 🙌🏾

Traveling has become therapy for me. Being able to see & encounter new things opens my eyes to so much & I haven’t been to half of the places I want to see. Knowing that there is more out there than just the bubble that I live in gets me excited to do & see more. Knowing that there is always something to learn & always a story with each adventure is kinda like chicken soup for the soul & I’m ready for my next helping.

Let go & Let Love
